Wax Resist - Process

Stage 1

Select either canvas or paper, in this case it's a textured paper.

Initial sketch is done

Stage 2

Lighter shades are used initially.

Block areas with wax for highlight, you always have to think in reverse!

Remember to let the paint dry before applying any wax!

Stage 3

Keep adding your colours and continue waxing to block further colouration.

Stage 4

Once completed, fully wax the whole piece, then place newsprint above and below picture. Then with a hot iron, remove the wax. The newsprint absorbs the wax and multiply sheets are required, until all the wax is removed.

The you have your finished piece!!!!!!!!
